All I can say is, take it one day at a time. Circumstances as they are, you can't plan ahead. I have a stepbrother who is in and out of jail (doing 10 months right now, parole violation. got caught with drugs, again). It's hard on my mother and stepfather, who he always falls back on. At least he doesn't have any family, it's only himself. But still, things change so much from day to day, you can't plan ahead. Just try to keep up with daily things to maintain the chaos. With all those children running around, it won't be easy. In fact, dang near impossible. But it will end up being a learning lesson for your children eventually. And when it's finally down to just your clan, you appreciate how "normal and peaceful" your own little family really is.
