I've not been on vacation, but dealing with a very sick kid. (All better today, thank goodness.) As I noted on the blog, the sick kid kept me away from the bridge, which I would have been driving on within an hour before the collapse. Very upsetting.

Friends are all checking in with each other this morning, especially as many of my mom friends have spouses who drive that bridge for their commute. It is emotional day here, and last night too.

I hope you get some good news about your DD, Andrea. That is the kind of thing that makes a mom really ruminate.
