Today I walked a lot outside, on an actual sidewalk. yikes!

First I walked about 8 blocks with a good friend who needed a shoulder, and back. And then I walked from 11th and Alder to 3rd and Washington-ish to catch the bus after the knit blogger meet-up, and another three blocks to home from the bus stop. The view was of lots of people, and heat waves rising from the asphalt downtown, and boats clustered around Waterfront Park on the blue sparkling river, out to hear the Blues Festival.

The next few days are supposed to be in the 90s-100s (very unusual here, and our second heat wave this year), so I'll have to get my walking in early.
