Well, I have to confess, friends...my kitchen floor was so nasty that I actually swept and mopped it this morning before going in to clean the kitchen! I'm going to mop again when I get done. YIKES! To my credit, though...the main floor is otherwise tidied, dusted, and vacuumed, laundry is caught-up (bedding going today) and dinner is planned. In the kitchen I still need to bleach the countertops, give the cabinets a good swiping, and, of course, mop the floor again.

DD12 and I are off now to pick up one of her girlfriends who will spend the rest of the afternoon here. I'm going to water the lawn and the kids at the same time and attempt to keep them outside enough to NOT completely destroy the work I've done in the house this morning.

One can hope!
