If you don't use chemicals on your grass, throw some grass clippings and weeds in there for them, garden thinnings, and unless your dog eats melon and squash seeds they like those kinds of things--vegetable trimmings dogs don't care for, wilted lettuce, etc--give them those kinds of "scraps."
You'll really notice the difference in the eggs. The more stuff like that they get, the darker the yolks get, and the darker the yolks, the better they taste and the better they are for you.
