We are going to venture into
We are going to venture into chickens this year too. Well, we have one. That's been living in a cage in the garage. DD7 brought her home after her class hatched them in school on Valentine's day. I'm trying to find time to make a yard/henhouse cleaned out for her, but between DS1 and the weather I just haven't been able to do it. DH flat out told me he wasn't helping with the 4-H ventures we are doing, that he doesn't have the time to fart around with that stuff, so I'm kinda going it alone. Both the girls are doing chickens for 4-H, so I need about a dozen. Both for eggs and for the fair. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to make sure that my dog, cats, screech owls and hawks won't get into them.
And DD9 will also be doing the dairy heifer project, so I need to get those bought and work on teaching her how to bottle feed and halter break them (2 of them) so she can show them in the fair as well.
Have fun with your garden! Oh, yeah, both girls are doing the veggee garden projects for 4-H as well. Maybe with their help I won't let the weeds take over! LOL!
