In fact we just got a new "girl," who we've named Penny for her lovely copper feathers. So far she's kept inside the hen house, and the other three are not friendly to her when she tries to come out.

Poor chicken. She's a survivor of a vicious raccoon attack that killed the other four members of her original flock, and then she comes here and the girls gang up on her. We're giving her two weeks to get integrated into the flock before we give her back.
