If only the rest of the citizens could see things like you Lynn. I feel it right there with you. It just makes me so sad to see the misinformed that blame troops. My husband and I had to run an errand in his ACU's one day beccause there was no time for him to change after work. A young man asked him "have you been deployed yet?" , my husband replied that he had being used to being asked curious questions. The young man gave him a look of disgust and asked him did'nt he feel just great being a killer of babies and women. I don't know if my husband has in fact killed anyone. He has returned fire in afghanistan and doesnt know the result of that but it was return fire and doubtful if it was a woman and certianlly not a baby. I dont know about Iraq he doesnt like to talk too much and I dont push, but he is NOT a baby killer. I know there have been worse incidents like the church that rallies at troops funerals in protest that the troops are dying as a way to punish America for condoning homosexuality. Things like that make me mad. There is plenty of ways to oppose this war, wich I do, without opposing the troops. Most of the troops dont want this war anymore than the rest of us!
That is why I knew I could "come home" to THN! I knew no matter what your political opinon it would be informed and no matter what the views on the war there would be support for the troops and families here. I cant even begin to tell you what it means to know I have that here for me.
