Lenora, washing machines are so vexing, aren't they? That is, though, one of the joys of renting: 'Hello? Letting Agent? The [insert relevant item here] is broken. Please come fix it now' You have to have good landlord/agents for this to work, of course!

We're off to see a rather wrecked stone cottage tomorrow. Bit more out of town than we had thought, but you never know.

We have both DBestFriend and DMIL coming to stay at the weekend (DMIL staying with sister-in-law) so there's a fair old housework frenzy going on here, including trying to shift some of the more persistant boxes that remain unpacked
