About time I took charge of something
Actually, for once the house (including my room! Woohoo!) is reasonably tidy all-at-the-same-time, though there is a lot of hidden clutter!
In the next few weeks/months I want to try and establish routines of some kind to keep on top of things more effectively than I have up to now. I hope to be back at work soon so I really need to work on this.
This week, I want to work on tidying up on a daily basis. I am sure most of you do this anyway but I am a late starter! I am very untidy and I end up taking hours and hours to tidy up all my paper and books and other mess and put everything away once a week, when I KNOW half an hour a day would be enough to keep straight. So...this week I will try to have a quick tidy in each room every day. Don't have a lot of rooms so it isn't too onerous - just my bedroom, the bathroom and loo, the living room and kitchen. DS does his own room.
I have another goal for this year (which kind of ties in with homeschooling too). This is the last year of homeschooling and I want DS to work on life skills - cooking, washing, ironing, budgeting etc. He already does quite a bit indoors, tidying , hoovering, looking after the dog, but there a few specific skills I think it would be good for him to have.
Now I have to go bed because one of my goals on the other thread is to be in bed before 12
