Curves?
I was thinking of joining Curves, and was wondering if anyone else here had any experience and/or opinions about them? Also, how much does it typically cost? I think there's a one-month no obligation running right now. I need to lose 50 pounds. Yup, you read that right: 50 pounds. Would Curves be right for me or do I need something more intense?
I walked a mile yesterday. Was very, very sore. I am having foot and joint problems & I know it's from being overweight. People are shocked to know my weight; they say I carry it well, but I feel each and every pound, let me tell ya! I have a community center less than 1/2 mile from me where I can work out on a few weight machines (not a huge selection, but enough for me), treadmills & bicycles. Also, I have Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home DVDs. And, my digital cable has several programs on it I can do, one that I'm interested in is Beginning Tai Chi.
So, that's it. Lose 50 pounds. At 2 pounds per week average, that's 25 weeks. Roughly the end of June. I CAN do this! It was quick coming on, but the pounds will be sloooowwww coming off.
Who's with me this year? Anyone else need to be a "New You"????
