though it will take longer because you've essentially doubled the recipe, it's more time and energy efficient to bake them together for 20-30 minutes longer that usual than to bake them seperately. My mom always baked two pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas, one pumpkin and one pecan pie and always cooked them together, no problem.
Have you ever doubled the recipe for something, like brownies, and found that it took 20+ minutes longer to cook? Same priciple working here. More volume takes longer to heat up to the right temp.
