being made redundant 13yrs back was the best career move my father ever had - he did an MBA (never did a first degree), got bucket loads of confidence and is a sought after management consultant these days.

I just hope you guys don't have a long agonising wait and worry in the meantime. It might be the right time for JJ to just grab after whatever dream has been tugging at his sub-conscious for years.
