I have my PhD day tomorrow, so today is packing day. I've made some gingerbread for the journey, and I'll start the process going for the Cornish pasties later.

Because we're going by train and we want to take the child-carrier backpack for DD, so we can go walking while we're there, we have to pack into one big rucksack (including the nappies!). This will be a big challenge, as I usually like to pack extravagently We think that when our present car eventually gives up we might not get another, so this summer we're having a trial run of holidays without a car. Could be interesting . . .
