Hey There
Good Afternoon!
It's been a wild couple of days around here, as usual.
Yesterday DS14 made a horrible mistake. He flippantly suggested to some other students, in front of a teacher, that another teacher had been drunk when she was chaperoning the dance Friday night. I guess he thought he was being funny, and I know for sure that he had absolutely no idea how serious it would be. This nasty rumor he started flew like wildfire around the school, to the principal, and on up to the superintendent.
I got wind of what was going down through one of my spy sources at the school last night, and when I talked to him about it and he understood the full implications of his untruth for one of his favorite teachers, he was totally crushed, took to his bed, and cried himself to sleep. First thing this morning, DH (who was also a chaperone at the dance, and therefore a reliable, adult witness that the teacher most certainly had not been drunk) and DS went in to talk to the principal. DS learned a very hard, but very important lesson about the power of words, and the harm of gossip. Not Fun.
Anyway..

Becky, I meant to tell you that East Toward Dawn is the story of a woman who celebrated her 60th birthday with a 60 day trip around the world. I enjoyed it! And I hope you can be done with PT.
I have The Pact in my pile Andrea, glad to hear it's good! I just finished Until You Know Kindness and next up is a Nora Roberts my SIL loved and passed on. I'm skeptical, we'll see...
Shuan, have a great trip! Thanks for the reminder that I have some bills due today! Eek! Oh, and count my 3 in on the sibling spats. Geez. Is it a full moon or what?
Jenny, I think I might order Sink Reflections, sounds like it's helpful for you. I could use a swift kick right in the bad attitude. (and no, I have no idea where my children get it...)
Have a good day!
