Thinking about "Taking Charge!"

Submitted by lgunnoe on Thu, 06/01/2006 - 8:18am.

WHEW! Sufice it to say that in the past 5 weeks since MIL's surgery(ies) I've felt "in charge" of NOTHING! It seems as if we are finally in "recovery" mode (as opposed to "survival" mode which is STILL better than where we were 10 days ago...) BIL left last Sunday and SIL left this morning. DH is traveling again (a sure sign of how much better MIL is!) and while everyone else is getting back to "normal"...today is the last day of school so I'm trying to wrap MY brain around sharing a wonderful summer with the girls AND doing Hospital/Doctor/Therapy monitoring AND keeping MIL pacified ("recovery" = bad mood and no patience from the patient!)...AND I have a (preliminary) job interview this afternoon on top of all that!

Thanks for asking Zillah! Eye-wink

Here is my newest favorite thing: the best $7.00 I've spent this year! ***Note: click on "about" and then the "Free sample page" link for a preview!)

Seriously, I could see that while my "Clean Sweep" schedule had worked fine for quite a while, I needed/wanted a different strategy. I can't even remember now how I found the calendar, but I purchased it in the 5.5 x 8.5 format and punched holes in the pages to flip opposite my daily calendar in my planner. I've been on this for about three months now and it's really working for us! I also like that it "schedules" quiet time, exercise, and weekily time for hobbies!

***Lynn, I don't know if there is anyway to set up a link that gives you any credit...but really...I LOVE this and think it's a terrific tool!

I must go press the suit and blouse I'm wearing this afternoon!
Love to all!

Blessings,
Lenora
