Saturday!
Hello friends! Not much to report here. SIL left on Wednesday. MIL is out of ICU and off the ventilator as of Thursday. She is still requiring an oxygen mask to keep her blood o2 levels acceptable. Other than that, physically she is improved but mentally she's just not "here." She is only responsive in the most limited way, which is heartbreaking for those of us who love her. The Dr.'s say that considering her experiences, the amounts and types of medication, and the length of time she was on the ventilator, she has just "checked-out" temporarily. They do think we will begin to see imporvement soon.
I worked Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. I was offered a position for Friday, but turned it down.
I need to get out today to get a Mother's Day gift for my mom and to spend some time with MIL. I MUST do laundry today, too.
The house is hanging in...but only because my DDS have been terriffic about completing their work. On days when I teach, I go straight from school to the hospital and don't get home until about 6:00 pm. DH goes straight from work too, and that makes him 8:00 pm or later getting home.
We're all tired.
Blessings,
Lenora
