My dear MIL passed away at 6:10 this morning (Wednesday, September 13.) DH, D-SIL, and I were with her all night and she was alert enough to know it until shortly after midnight. Around 5:00 am she woke again, and asked for a drink of Coke and for the pictures of my DDS which were (at the time) in a bag in the closet.

We are tired and sad, but dealing. My DDs are experiencing their first loss-of-a-loved-one and that, too, is hard. They are young women with much faith, grace, and confidence in the benevolence of God, so that eases it a bit.

I don't have the heart for much else, so good-night, friends.
