Inchworm, inchworm...
Heh. I think that song's in my head every year anyway as I plant. That one and some other little song about an inchworm measuring the marigolds.
It's so hard to get out of the garden section without more plants, isn't it?
I think I love my garden best in July. The plants are big and healthy then and just starting to produce veggies, and everything looks green and wonderful. Usually that's before I start seeing too many hornworms or flea beetles or early blight or other problems.
Praying mantises are very cool! The last couple of years we've had batches of them around here naturally, and I'm always happy to see them in my garden. Last year we had a bunch of wheel bugs that were neat, too, though I did have to keep an eye out for them since I hear they have a nasty bite.
We have rain today, and probably tomorrow, too. If it lets up for a while I may try to go out and dig for the fence anyway.
