that red is considered very lucky by Chinese. At Chinese New Year everything but everything gets decorated with red - he'd probably freak out completely!

for the junk mail, I have a bag next to my chair in the living room where I toss all junk mail the moment it arrives, rather than trying to get it all out to the recycling bin outside every time it arrives. Filling the recycling bag makes me feel good, so I don't get upset over throwing the stuff away.

as for being behind on everything... if I ever figure anything out I'll let you know. I guess not taking on anything extra probably helps for a start.
