oy!
Thanks. The dining room (March) got mostly taken care of. The desk is clear and ready to move, the shoe cabinet has been cleared and organized, the bookcases have been purged and redone, boxes of crap in the corners have been removed, the altar has been cleaned and refreshed for spring. Still have to move the desk and filing cabinet upstairs.
April is The Basement, which includes The Garage. dun-dun-duhhhhh!
We kicked off the month by selling my husband's Vespa. That opened up a HUGE space in the garage. Tomorrow I'm going washing machine shopping for a used but sturdy washer with part of the proceeds. Our old one is rusting out. We're going to save up for a Staber. It'll take a couple years but it'll probably be the last machine we'll ever have to buy, and it can run on home-generated power which we're hoping to have up and running in five years.
The goal for the basement is to get it set up so that I can teach Josie to sew this summer, and so I can sew myself. I'm getting itchy to make clothes again. Also there's a piano down there and Josie wants to take lessons.
