Out all day shopping with my Mum today. I spent too much money, though I did come home with a nice pair of wellies for DS14 and a pair for myself. Now we can go on the 'Beachcombing along the Thames' guided walk I've been wanting to do for ages

I have been doing a lot of thinking about the future, and have decided to study to improve my career prospects. I am taking a short course this May which runs for 12 weeks, and then a more demanding one which starts in October and runs for 9 months. I'll see how that goes before I decide whether to carry on studying the following year and thereafter. I will be getting a job in a year or so and my plan is work three days and study two, or something like that.

This week I plan to finish sorting and organising DS14's room, we've made good headway but there is quite a bit still to do. I also have laundry catch-up to do, and mountains of ironing as always.
