If you're a snob in regards to compilation CDs, just keep on walkin. If you want to sample the works of some of the finest Celtic musicians and vocalists of our time, get your feet wet with this one. I've been introduced to several artists I'd not known before, like Ashley MacIssac (where have I been on that one?) and have gotten to enjoy some new songs by artists more well known, like Sinead O'Connor and her achingly powerful "Her Mantle So Green".

If you like this album, you'll probably like the Celtic Tides album by the same label. Dougie MacLean, that's alls I'm sayin.
