I've been a beginner knitter for so long. I'm always starting new projects, making big mistakes, never finishing.

I bought the Knit Stich on Lynn's recommendation. Love it! I like her meditations on knitting. I like her point about knitting not being about instant gratification. I need to get over the instant gratification.

I started on the pancho two days ago and have been obsesed! No sleep, no gym, no picking up toys, just knit until every part of me is cramped and tired. It was all going so well, I was excited to finally see success and couldn't put it down.

Well, I finished tonight. It took me DH and DS an hour to figure out how to sew it all together from the pictures. And now that it is done it is SO ugly! I picked a multi colored yarn thinking it looked so bright and springy and fun, just like DD (who it was being made for). Sigh, it looks like someone threw up Fruit Loops on my daughter. Just a limp mass of blurred colors.

Ah well, at least I finally finished a project! My first finished project, can't be too frustrated about that!
