I am a SAHM and I wanted to get my 18 month "out more." So I decided to start my own neighborhood playgroup. I actually put up flyers at the local Starbucks and at some play gyms with the types of kids/parents that might be interested.

I wanted to make sure that the groups parents would share the same values and interests as me. So my description was something like "new playgroup forming for 18 month to 30 month babies. Interested in SAHM, who are interested in the French language or culture. Looking to meet regularly on Wednesdays in the late morning around 11am"

Once I got six families, I put the schedule on Qlubb (thanks! for the referral). Although we have only had 3 playdates, they have been great!
