I just stated a neighborhood playgroup for my son who is 2 and it's been a wonderful experience. Since he doesn't yet go to the local preschool, it has been a good way for him to get to know some kids his age in the area and also play with different kids - also a great way for me to meet new parents!

Although I was a bit apprehensive at first to start a local playgroup - it was really not that difficult, you'd be amazed at how many parents are looking for local playgroups.

We put our contact information and our playgroup schedules up on Qlubb. And for each playdate, we pick a location, and assign snack duties. Because it is all online with reminders, its been really easy to manage and to RSVP (to find out who is going to attend).

With the weather getting so much nicer, we have been doing bigger trips (meaning to the park, to the riverbank, etc..) and so it's great having all of this online.
