Very Focused Young Lady
DD has become lately! She is just learning and growing like mad. It now takes us about 40 minutes to get through all the day's "paper work" for homeschooling, when as recently as early December it took twice that long. I can't get over her.
Last night she asked to make apple butter, (Felicity makes apple butter), so we will try to do that tomorrow.
Today we worked some on our state symbols. She now knows our:
State nickname (The Green Mountain State)
flower (red clover)
bird (hermit thrush)
animal (Morgan horse)
capital (Montpelier)
region (New England)
and a bit of history (14th state, was not a colony [although was pretty well populated in colonial times], was an independent republic for a time, first state to outlaw slavery, next-to-the-smallest population)
We are cranking along pretty darn well! Hope it lasts!
