Is what I have too, the newest version. My mom, a retired professional photographer bought it for me for my b-day the end of July, and it's been great so far! It did get dropped a couple times and has survived. I will be gentle with it though now I know you've had trouble. It has 5.1 mega pixels and I have found the clarity to be excellent, when I print on good paper.
