Made some progress since I posted "Under Construction"--Yesterday, DH took off the rest of the drywall and removed some of the studs! Woohoo! DD loves running "through" the wall now.

Make the kitchen much cooler now when I'm simmering stuff on the stove...the steam has somewhere to escape!
