totally agree
The wet-sock treatment, the nasal irrigation, hot, spicy broths, and very long, steamy showers have all worked beautifully for me with head congestion. I wouldn't expect a young child to do nasal irrigation, though!
When I've taken OTC drugs for sinus congestion they've dried out my sinus too much and caused alot of discomfort/pain. Also, trying to avoid OTCs that make you sleepy, make you bounce off the walls, or have propolyene glycol or other weird things in them becomes a headache in itself.
