cutting ourselves some slack
being sick isn't an excuse for not getting things done, it's a valid reason. If you get anything done at all, give yourself a pat on the back. Don't beat yourself up for what you haven't done. One thing I've noticed we're really bad at, almost all of us, is being realistic in what we want to achieve. I'm sure you've all read the New Year's Resolutions threads and that's a perfect example - one of Jo's resolutions includes being realistic in the way she trains for a marathon because she's already messed up on that once.
that's why I suggested next Monday, not yesterday. That's why we need small goals to keep us going.
and watch out for those curve balls - my husband is on his way to an airport about 3hrs away and just discovered he left his wallet at home. He can't change his flight, doesn't have time to come and get his wallet and still catch his flight... we've got it sorted, amazingly, but my head hurts like hell!
Kerri.
