You were super lucky. When my daughter (who was 2 at the time) was hospitalized with the flu, they also gave us a crib. The problem we had was that my daughter had been in a bed by herself since she was one. They wouldn't give us a bed for her, and they wouldn't let us sleep in the chair either.
