Indispensable for any sustainable garden

If you're concerned about the future of food, or about the future in general, you've probably considered planting a garden. Consider, then, the next step: Growing out and saving your own seed.

Saving seed does a multitude of things: It allows you to select for the traits you want in a plant, including how well it does right there in your yard; it allows you to keep "heritage" varieties of plants alive into the future; it gives you a stock of seeds you can trade with others; and it saves you money! Anyone who is even sorta thinking about saving seed from their garden plants should have this book. It's the definitive book, the bible as it were, of seed saving--all the information you need on how to do it, for just about any crop you can think of--and why, too. Highly recommended.
