I have to admit, our town may have it's shortcomings, but the recycling center is amazing. First, I don't have to sort a darn thing. I have two trash cans, one for rinsed off recycle-ables, and one for trash (stuff that I just can't recycle, like cellophane, or cardboard soaked with food juice). Every other week, we put all of our recycle-ables in big, green buckets out front, the "recycle man" comes and gets it, and takes it to be sorted. So nice! They do the same for yard waste, and then you can go get mulch and compost from the city for free! So I don't have to keep a compost pile in my yard.
