This show was so much better than TV deserved. Rich, nuanced, well-written, well-acted, filled with potential, and so, so detailed, with a first rate cast led by Captain Tightpants himself, Nathan Fillion. (Check out his wardrobe and you'll know why fans gave him the nickname. Woof!) You guys know what a Joss Whedon nut I am. Well, this show is absolute prooof the man can do far more than just "Buffy." Some critics thought the "Wild West in space" concept was a little off, but let's face it, it's entirely realistic that settlers in a diaspora setting might not be able to afford much in the way of technology--after all, not everyone on earth NOW has running water let alone iPods. If you like science fiction and/or Joss Whedon and/or cleverly written, engrossing television, you will love Firefly. I can't wait to find out if Joss can put the film deal together soon.
