Maybe....Maybe Not....(for now, anyways)
Since I got pregnant in December, my milk supply has dropped so low that Amber went from eating almost nothing (literally) a day to eating half of a plate per meal and snacks inbetween (and I mean MY plate...not hers!)
But she hasn't given up on nursing, yet. She still won't call it anything (just tugs on my shirt or goes to the rocker where we usually sit) but she still requests it several times a day.
However, she is willing to cut nursings short and move on to other things, and lately I'm able to distract her longer times between feedings. She's gone 4 hours between lately (it used to be two or less...even at 16 months old!)
So, I'm not sure if she'll comepletely wean by the time the baby comes (August 20th or so) or not, but I'm interested in seeing how it plays out.
For now I'm planning on tandem nursing since Amber has always been so abdamant (sp?) about it...she may be one of those toddlers who weans and then goes back to nursing once the baby comes and milk returns...
Who knows? We'll have to wait and see
