DD had chicken pox in Kinderg
DD had chicken pox in Kindergarten. Little brother started to break out a bit later and the doctor gave him Zovirax. It stopped them on him right then, but a couple years later he was exposed and caught them. I'm wondering if the Zovirax is what caused them to not break into blisters.
You really need to check with the doctor before discontinuing stuff on your own. Especially with antibiotics. . they tell you to finish the entire dose. Not sure, but I think it builds up immunity to the antibiotic if you do that. . . where the antibiotics may not work well in future.
Seems like a whole lot of medicine for a little kid. I gave mine benadryl to stop the itching, tylenol to stop the fever and the doctor told me to do lukewarm baths to soothe. I made it a point to not let the benadryl run out on them. Seems harder to stop the itch once it gets going.
Hope she is better soon.
