Although I do agree with Lynn that some things discused in this book are alarming and probably unnesessary I still LOVE this book! I loved knowing what new things were going to happen every week and what my baby looked like every week! I used this book purely as a developmental book....to know what my baby looked like and what he could do(like knowing when he could hear/see...etc.) I was great for me to read what my body was going through...it prepared me...and I was less freeked. Some of my friends would say ohh my gosh this happend and I would say ohh that's normal...they all ended up getting this book!! It was great because the other books I had went through things my month or trimester which was more vague. It would say something was going to happen and I was wondering when...in the first week or the last week? But, like Lynn said, if you want to have a natural birth or a birth with little intervention this this is NOT a good source of information for that! However it did give me the necessary information on what to expect if that became necessary! This is still a great book to get developmental information no matter how sad the other information may be!!!!!
