moving advice
We have done 3 major relocations so far in our married life, and the only thing I have to say is: expect it to take at least a year before you really feel like you belong there. Even when you are moving somewhere you like and away from somewhere you don't like, it takes time to adjust. Between 1 and 2 years it's like magic. You suddenly start to find out where all the things are that only the locals know about. You have real friends by then and not just friendly acquaintances. You know where pretty much any store you need is located. You've experienced whatever weather the area has to offer. It just begins to feel like it's really home after that first year. So don't get discouraged if you feel a little out of place at first even though you like it there. Moving, even a good move, is a big change and it takes it's toll on you.
