My neighbor was going crazy with a rust ring around her toilet bowl. She had tried everything you could think of. She finally find this stuff on the internet called spot-x. It worked on her rust ring. I can't see why it wouln't work on your bathtub. Might test a little spot first just to make sure. Sure is cheaper than buying a whole new bathroom set.
