Rainbow Light's vitamins are food-based, not synthetic. They contain more than just vitamins; these vitamins also give you several superfoods and herbs especially for pregnancy and lactation. I took these all through my pregnancy and nursing with Louisa and I felt great. (I still take Rainbow Lights, just not the Prenatals.)
