Adoption is not an easy thing
Adoption is not an easy thing to get through. I always said it was birth pains of a different sort. At least when you are birthing the child yourself its not like anyone is there to say you can't have him/her. In an adoption, the decision isn't entirely up to the adoptive parents. Adopting from another country adds another hurdle on top of the others.
I'm wondering if they bring the child to you or do you travel there to get him? Is there any way you can meet the children awaiting adoption prior to making your decision. . perhaps spend a little time with some of them to see if personalities clash or not?
I do hope everything works smoothly for you. Its a big step you're taking. As you probably know, my children are adopted. There has never been a moment's regret on our part. Your circumstances are different to be certain, but I wish the same for you.
