My husband read parts of this book over someone's shoulder on the bus, and he liked it enough to pick it up. We are not Mars and Venus readers, but we both liked this. Not a lot of parenting "techniques" but a good framework.

I think it is very complementary to books like How to Talk so Your Kids Will Listen. I like his emphasis on encouraging cooperation rather than enforcing obedience.

Even if you have not been a regular Mars and Venus fan, this book is worth a look. (And it is very easy to read and understand -- Gray simplifies things enough for even the most exhausted, demoralized parent!)
