Newbie but loving it
I've been low carbing for one month now. I feel so, so much better! Not one headache, stable energy level, never hungry, sleeping better. I am not doing any particular "diet" because it's not about weight for me. I could stand to lose 30 lbs or so, but I am more interested in diabetes prevention. I have a strong family history, was really close to being medicated with all three of my pregnancies, and I carry my weight around my middle.
I have cut out sugar entirely, and after two weeks of very low carbs have been slowly adding back healthy ones. I now eat fruit, carrots, oatmeal, barley, brown rice, and whole wheat stuff in very small quantities will be next. I am eating more vegatables now than I ever have before, and 80% of my protein is lean.
I am amazed everyday how much better I feel, and it has been really easy for me. I don't even get tempted by carbs because I know how I felt before, and I never want to feel that way again.
