I can't imagine what this is like for you. My deepest sympathy goes to you and your family.
I'd also like to apologize to you on behalf of my pre-SAHM profession, nursing. The actions of the pre-op nurse are simply inexcusable, and they are grounds for a formal complaint if you wish to do so.
