Christmas...um...carols?

DD loves, and I mean loves Christmas carols and songs, just like I did at her age (and still do). Right now, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is her favorite. I think it's because of the pretty Renaissance style angels in the song book on that page. Here's her version.
Hark! Da herald angels sing,
Glory to da newborn King,
Peace on earss and (garble garble)
God and simmers (garble garble)
Joyful all ye (garble garble)
Join the trumpets of da skies
In-bi-ta-tion to Miss Frosty
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
AND
She and daddy were being silly last night and she came up with this one:
We wiss you a Merry Christmas
We wiss you a Merry Christmas
We wiss you a Merry Christmas
And a happy mustache!
(She does not yet produce the -th sound at the end of words, hence the -sses.)
I love kids.

Fleas never die AKA Feliz Navidad
LOL too funny Anhata! There is a lady I work with who is 50 years old. Up until 2 years ago, she thought the song Feliz Navidad was called "Fleas Never Die". Sing it in your head .....fleas never die, fleas never die.
She asked us what Jose Feliciano was saying in the song, so we told her and she told us what it sounded like to her. I was ROFL!!!!!!
Now I can't ever hear that song without singing Fleas Never Die!

I always thought
While Sheperds Watched Their Flocks By Night was....
While Sheperds Washed Their Socks By Night
and
All We Like Sheep from Handel's Messiah was....
Oh! We Like Sheep!
Until I sang them in choir and saw the words written.
I still sing them that way.
Thanks for the laugh, I needed it today.

My favorite, but not a carol....
God bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her,
through the night,
with a light, from a bulb.
Blessings,
Lenora

the latest...um...carol
Though she has now learnt the actual words to Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, I am pleased to announce that DD has begun singing a new carol:
No children on da mountain,
over the hills and everywhere!
No children on da mountain,
...Jesus Christ is born!

Oh too funny....
Reminds me of when I was younger and Kenny Rogers came out with that song "Lucille", we sang it as:
You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille, 400 children and a crop in the field.......
