Not all the essays in this anthology will speak to you; in fact, while reading one or two I wanted to jump into the pages, scoop up the kid(s) for a bath and a good meal, and bitch-slap the young mama so busily examining her navel.

Nevertheless! These are voices that need to be heard--young women who are passionate about their lives and being moms at the same time. (Full disclosure: Bee Lavender is a very good friend of mine, and I am the techMama for hipMama online. But I'd recommend the book anyway!)
