Today is rainy, cold, and overall just miserable. My oldest is off with a friend getting ready for Prom. My 2 younger children and I decided to head to the thrift store, the dollar store, and then to pick up lunch. We bundled up, and off we went carrying a bag full of things to donate to the thrift shop.

Managing a home on one income is not so easy sometimes. Our winter expenses are horrible with a capital H and filling that LP tank is like having another car payment. We always talk about what we could cut back on-getting rid of the 2 cellphones in our family plan, letting the internet go (I cringe!), and last but not least-getting rid of our satellite dish and HBO. My husband did that one year, it happened to be during the last season of Sex and the City, I was not a happy camper. He had it switched back on after the season was over because he missed sports. What. Ever.
I've never been one to sit down and watch tv, I'd rather read a book. I read the news online. I'm very much out of the loop when it comes to soap operas, Lost, Survivor, etc. Whats that? I don't even know the half of the channels we have on Dish Network. But, last year one night I watched a rerun of Project Runway and since then I've been hooked. I was happy to see Jay win and now I am so anxious to see who wins on Season 2 I can't barely stand it! I am MummaDee, I am almost 40 yrs old, I have an addiction. To Project Runway that is.

After 13 years of marriage I am sad to say I lost my waist. This year I would like to get the old body back in shape and get on an exercise program. The kids are getting older and I'm hoping to figure some time for "me" and to stick to it.
